OB TITLE: Head of Field Sales - South

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
HomeLet is the market leading provider of referencing and insurance to the lettings industry. HomeLet provides a first class service to the Letting Industry. Our main customer base is made up of Property Managers and Letting Agents. The Head of Field Sales (South) has a critical role in driving 8 Key Account Directors to meet and exceed their targets. The Head of Field Sales (South) will be expected to deliver sales targets through exceptional leadership and innovation. This person works alongside Head of Field Sales.
HomeLet has very ambitious plans to increase its customer base in 2011 and wants to ensure its Sales team has ample support to achieve this. This person will LOVE sales.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
• To support the Sales and Operations Director in implementing the company sales strategy and to maintain and increase our market share.
• To hit/exceed sales targets
• To generate new customers & income for HomeLet
• Manage resources efficiently and effectively to achieve the sales and customer services objectives
• To ensure your team create an area which is performance driven and focused on ownership
• To create and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and head office
• Manage self and motivate direct reports to live the company values and to reach our long term goal of having 4000 regular transacting customers
• To manage team headcount requirements, recruitment and succession planning and performance management within budget
• Support business development by driving customer coverage plans for sales channels
• Coach, manage and influence all sales channels to ensure volume and value targets are delivered in a compliant and cost effective manner
• Conduct regular developmental meetings with each team member
• Take leadership role in establishing and developing the company’s culture and values
• Ensure all regulated business is completed in a compliant manner
• To seek & deliver continuous process improvement
• To implement the company’s policies and strategies within your teams
• To continually review processes to identify ‘smarter’ ways of working
• To deliver regular, timely and appropriate team communications
PERSON SPECIFICATION –
Education/Qualifications(or equivalent)
Essential
• 5 GCSE’s Level C or O Level equivalent qualification in English & Maths
• Sales qualification
Experience/Knowledge
Essential
• Previous management experience in a field and office based environment. At least 10 years experience and a proven track record in a sales environment
• Minimum of 5 years in a management position and field & Sales
Experience/Knowledge
Desirable
• At least 3 years experience within the property or Lettings industry
Skills / Aptitudes
Essential
• Good written and verbal communication
• Able to communicate at all levels and to present to sales teams and our customers
• Good organisational skills & ability to prioritise and delegate work
