JOB TITLE: HR ADVISOR
REPORTING TO: HR MANAGER
DIVISION: PROPERTY AND COMMERCIAL
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Working as part of the HR team to make Barbon Insurance Group a place where people want to work where their needs will be met to ensure maximum potential is reached by all and employees feel engaged with the company.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITES :
• To ensure all employees are treated fairly and consistently and advise line managers on a range of management topics i.e. Employment Law, Discipline and Grievance, Recruitment and Selection, Absence Management, redundancy, maternity, suspensions.
• Be actively involved in Performance Management ensuring RAGs, Coaching, 1-1’s, Smart Objectives and PPDRs are carried out by the businesses.
• Support the businesses in any training activity or setting up individual training plans and regularly review succession plans with the line managers.
• Facilitate continuous improvement of employee engagement.
• Responsibility for the recruitment process in the P&C division working closely with line managers to understand their recruitment needs including preparation of job descriptions, writing adverts and placing on job boards.
• Sourcing/screening CVs for vacancies from databases and carry out telephone screening, interviews and assessment centres where necessary ensuring all costs are within recruitment budgets.
• Liaising with managers to ensure probation reviews and full inductions are taking place.
• To analyse exit interview results and provide recommendations.
• To assist with improvements from the staff survey results.
• To assist the HR Manager with management reporting.
• To complete project tasks as required in a timely manner.
• To provide occasional cover for the HR team within Lettings.
• To communicate with and travel to P&C locations as required.

• 12 months proven experience in an operational HR Officer/Advisory role with recruitment experience.
