JOB TITLE: Business Development Executive, Corporate Principal Accounts (External) (Maternity Cover)
REPORTING TO: Head of Principal Accounts
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To play a central role in introducing new and core products to our Corporate Principal Account customers by producing and delivering 1st class customer training. To maximise results by helping customers implement simple sales processes through effective training and follow-up. To meet core targets for activity, and volume targets for growth following training. To understand the Principal Account proposition, the lettings industry and HomeLet and competitors products ensuring credibility with customers and re-affirming our position as market leader. To demonstrate a detailed knowledge of existing arrangements and where appropriate comply with Head Office brand standards. To promote growth and influence levels of business achieved from these accounts by working with the Principal Account Managers to maximise opportunities for growth.
Working as a pro-active team member to suggest, share and critique ideas and concepts to deliver additional revenue through the execution of training /campaigns designed to increase sales.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Provide training to letting agent customers in all geographical areas
• To encourage and influence cross sell and up sell in our customer base
• Meet targets for activity
• Meet volume targets across core products
• Monitor and effectively follow up training
• Use salesforce to record all agent interaction including calls, emails, appointments and other Principal Accounts initiatives launched with customer base.
• Implementing new processes and ideas within the team to improve general efficiency and effectiveness of the team and business as a whole.
• Deal effectively and take ownership of client queries and training feedback. Escalate where appropriate.
• Liaise with other business areas to achieve aims and objectives of the department and to ‘delight’ our customers.
• Manage dealings with other departments for the provision of services in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Attend internal and external meetings ensuring that points raised are actioned within deadlines.
• Identify and maximise opportunities to expand services offered to Principal Account customers.
• Participate in new business activities.
• Using analysis and understanding of Management Information and business objectives to contribute to and help with planning, development and increasing cross sell – upsell and growth in volume
• Contribute to ideas and initiatives aimed at growing and maintaining business from our Principal Accounts, cutting costs and improving efficiency and effectiveness of the team - Make effective use of Group resources as appropriate..
• Proactively pursue personal development and act in a professional manner at all times
• Attendance at National Principal Accounts Regional Business meetings, Annual General Meetings, Landlords seminars, Brand meetings etc if required
• Any other duties that the company may reasonably ask you to perform which are within your skills sets.
