JOB TITLE: Debt Recovery Clerk
REPORTING TO: Legal and Claims Manager and Former Tenant Collection Supervisor
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To administer and process the recovery of rent guarantee and costs from former tenants.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITES:
• Input new case details on the Keyhouse system.
• Administer and monitor recovery of rent guarantee payments and costs from former tenants and guarantors.
• Deal with general correspondence and telephone calls with agents, landlords and former tenants and deal with queries.
• Complete cheque requests for recovered monies and pay to HomeLet or landlords once cleared.
• Action the steps necessary to pursue former tenants for rent guarantee monies and costs due to insurer/insured from former tenants, which will include demand letters, and preparation of and pursuing of all types of Court enforcement proceedings.
• Instruct Counsel/Solicitor agents to deal with enforcement hearings, responding to their correspondence and providing instructions as required.
• Deal with the archiving and retrieval of files for review.
• Making up of “secondary copy” files from main files.
