JOB TITLE:  Change Manager  


REPORTING TO:  Head of Business Change   


MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: 


To successfully plan and deliver major business change projects in a defined strategic programme in HomeLet’s Business Change portfolio.


The role requires someone that is results focussed, extremely organised and an advocate of change for their strategic initiatives.


This person is able to work at a Senior level. The role is responsible for shaping the future of a strategic programme of work and therefore the future of HomeLet.

 

The role reports directly to the Head of Business Change, who is accountable for the overall management and delivery of all strategic change projects.


KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITES :


• To define project deliverables that meet defined project benefits

• To ensure that all projects are delivered to agreed cost, time and quality parameters adhering to project management governance standards

• To manage cross-portfolio dependencies, planning impacts and constraints by working with Change Managers, Programme Assurance and Head of Business Change.

• To execute implementation activities and business readiness activities – doing the doing – particularly for small and medium projects where a WSL project structure is not appropriate

• To manage the articulation of clear business cases for approval, to review and update business cases during the lifetime of the project and to hold and manage post delivery implementation reviews and tracking for up to 1 year following project delivery

• To ensure priorities are clearly understood within the defined strategic area and that the rationale is always clear based on business benefit

• To provide excellent, accurate, concise, timely and audience-appropriate project status reporting for all defined review /boards /meetings.

• To create a compelling and permanent project vision for buy-in and direction of project stakeholders

• To plan and actively manage the plan with clear milestone management and clearly assigned resources (BA’s / IT development / business resources) – reporting, keeping track, and comms to direct & indirect stakeholders

• To identify, manage and mitigate issues/risks/dependencies using the change team risk process

• To manage tight change control within the project and the impact on the portfolio

• To shape and document a pipeline of upcoming projects – defining them and driving them through the change board process using OBC & FBC process.

• To shape and manage all BAU change for your strategic area

• To measure and to feedback on project team participation and performance

• To chair project stakeholder meetings and maintain regular and appropriate communication with stakeholders throughout all initiatives.

• To follow all policies, procedures and documentation methodologies and disciplines employed by the Business Change team and Programme Office function.

• To complete bi-weekly status review with Sponsor and Head of Business Change

• To provide verbal and written updates and to present at Change Board / Senior Team meetings and business reviews as appropriate.

• To understand what our customers want from us and what best serves our business need and then the most effective way of delivering this.

• To drive a change culture that is focused on passion and ownership.


PERSON


• You will have worked in a recognised structured project methodology, such as PMI, APMP, Prince 2 or similar.

• You will have 3 years experience of working within project teams of 3 or more in size and delivered at least 2 major transformational projects

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.

• Highly proficient in Excel and MS Project.

• You will have a capacity to understand sources of project complexity and risk.

• Exceeds expectation in following instruction and direction.

• You will be able to demonstrate a robust and evolving knowledge of HomeLet’s business, customers and processes

• Strong inter-personal and organisational skills.
