JOB TITLE: Sales Trainer
REPORTING TO: Sales, Marketing and Operations Director
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
HomeLet provides a first class service to the Letting Industry. The main customer base is made up of Property Managing and Letting Agents. The Sales Trainers role is to design and deliver training to our field based sales staff (14), our Principal Accounts Team (4) and to our internal Account Management team (10). The Sales Trainer will be expected to support the achievement of sales targets through timely delivery of a structured training & coaching programme.
HomeLet has very ambitious plans to increase its customer base in 2011 and wants to ensure its Sales team have ample support to achieve this. The Sales Trainer is a new role for HomeLet, and therefore one of the first challenges will be to establish the function.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITES:
• Develop sales training for all HomeLet’s sales force, both field and office based
• Deliver sales training and coaching to field based and account management staff to drive sales performance
• Deliver a variety of training including behavioral, selling skills, process, system, product
• Investigate and help rectify low performance issues, and the effectiveness of training as a result
• Develop new sales training material for any new product launches, process changes etc
• Maintain all existing sales training and ensure it is never out of date
• Analyse skills gaps within the sales team and develop group/ individual training plans to bridge any gaps
• Analyse the sales performance and to closely monitor the performance of ongoing action plans
• To ensure any training delivery can be assessed and the success of the training measured
• To collate MI that can be used to produce performance trend Dashboards that will be used in order to determine where support is required and to influence performance
• To maintain all training records for the sales team
• Comply with all regulatory procedures applicable to the role
• Providing continual competitor insight to drive product and service improvement
• Ensure FSA compliance across all distribution channels
• To share “Best Practices” to ensure maximum learning
PERSON SPECIFICATION –
Education/Qualifications(or equivalent)
Essential
• A level grade C or equivalent including English language or literature.
Desirable
Education/Qualifications(or equivalent)
• Degree level or equivalent qualification, CIPD/CTP or equivalent training qualification.
Experience/Knowledge
Essential
• A minimum of 5 years previous sales training experience
• Previous experience within a target driven field and office based environment
• Background of field sales training
• Proven experience in delivering sales targets through training regimes
Experience/Knowledge
Desirable
• Previous Sales Experience –proven track record
• Knowledge of the Lettings industry
