What roles have you had at Barbon?
I first started with the company as a Servicedesk Analyst, and then became a Senior Technical Support Analyst for Lincoln. More recently I have been promoted to a newly formed position of Senior Telephony Technician, where I work on the telephony services for the Barbon group along with dealing with suppliers.
What’s the secret of your success?
Working hard, ensuring that if something needs to be done and you can do it, then get it done. If you can find areas that no one else knows, and that needs to be covered, then try to learn about it and take ownership of it. This has now paid off with my new role and area dealing with the telephony systems and services for the group.
Do you have a message to anybody thinking of applying here?
Be prepared for rewarding times working on exciting challenges.
What have been your best moments since joining Barbon?
I would say my best moments since starting are my recent promotion into a newly formed telephony role, with the ability to own and develop the telephony systems and services for the Barbon group. In addition to working in a new role and making it my own, I have the advantage of working with a highly experienced Head of Operations Manager, who is someone to aspire to be like and learn a great deal from. - Shane, Senior Telephony Technician, Business Support
